Butterfly Pavilion

We didn't do a whole lot when my Mom was here but something that we wanted to do that we haven't done before was go to the butterfly pavilion. They had all sorts of nasty bugs...Hannah LOVED IT!!

Ewwww..... and they got bigger depending on where they were from.

You can kindof see them here in this picture. I was taking it more of Hannah but you can see how big these cockroaches are.....they make me shiver just looking at the pictures.
We all held Rosie the tarantula. I was so surprised at how light and delicate she was, and she was kindof cute!

Another big exhibit was the scorpions. They probably had about 10 different kinds. They even had some from Colorado...I had no idea that we had scorpions here, I hope they are all in the sand dunes because we don't go there. But it was pretty interesting. Did you know that scorpions glow under florescent lights?

I just had to take a picture of this, they sell suckers in the gift shop the have real scorpions in the middle!!!

There were hundreds of butterflies and they landed everywhere, even on people.

The rest are just some gorgeous pictures of butterflies that hatched that day while we were there.
